Outside My Window…it’s a beautiful morning. The breeze is whispering through the trees, it’s a little cool and the sun is shining. I can hear someone’s car starting up and the chirping of birds.
I am thinking…that I enjoy days when I stay home from work. I wish I didn’t have to work, maybe someday
I am thankful for…a husband that works as hard as DSH works, who would like to make it possible for me to not have to work outside the home someday
From the kitchen…I am going to make my mom’s version of chili today and DSH and I will have it for lunch this week. I’m also going to slice up a red cabbage, some cucumbers and also some cherry tomatoes (these are from our garden) and mix them with apple cider vinegar for my husband.
I am wearing…tan shorts, a pretty ivory and khaki patterned sleeveless shirt that I bought on clearance at Walmart in Paso Robles when DSH and I were on our honeymoon in Cambria, California
I am creating…a somewhat more organized living room today 😛
I am going…to do some cleaning today
I am reading…Brsingr by Christopher Paolini
I am hoping…that I actually do get something done around the house since I’m staying home from work today
I am hearing…Hawaiian music from the Hawaiian music channel available on Dish Satellite TV. It’s my cleaning music 🙂
Around the house…I have all the windows open so I can enjoy the breeze and the fresh air
One of my favorite things…Apple Hill 😉 My mom and I went there this last Saturday and had a wonderful time. I have a post up with photos from the trip
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Today I’m planning to make chili. Tomorrow I’m planning to buy the ingredients for a cheesy hashbrown casserole that I’ll be preparing after work on Wednesday night to bring to our small group bible study. Small groups at our church break for the summer and start up again in September after the Small Group Fair we hold on a Sunday morning. I love our small group and can’t wait to meet again this Wednesday! It’s our open house and we’re having a potluck.
Here is picture thought I am sharing…
These are Gravenstein apples. I thought they were gorgeous with the different colors and striping 🙂
