FOR YESTERDAY Sunday, September 6th, 2008…
Outside My Window…it’s a beautiful late summer afternoon. The sun is shining, there’s a gentle breeze rustling through the leaves of the trees and bushes, it’s a serene afternoon.
I am thinking…I love late summer/early autumn days. There’s something about the transitional seasons that restores my soul and fills me with peace
I am thankful for…this home in which I’ve lived for over 17 years
From the kitchen…today I’ll be preparing lunches for the week for me and DSH. I’ll be making chicken monterey and a summer vegetable risotto on the side, using some squash, tomatoes and herbs from our garden.
I am wearing…one of my favorite dresses, a gorgeous dark blue, green, teal and purple hawaiian patterned dress. It’s very comfortable
I am creating…this blog! I’ve blogged before and got discouraged, so this blog is a new beginning for me
I am going…to do some laundry this evening and watch America’s Funniest Home Videos (if it’s on).
I am reading…tomorrow at work during my breaks and lunch I will begin reading Peculiar Treasures by Robin Jones Gunn. I’m a fan of her books, and even though I’m in my (early!!!) 40s, I enjoyed the Christy Miller series for teenage girls. This book focuses on one of Christy’s friends, Katie Weldon.
I am hoping…that Sarah Palin continues to do well, and that the slanders against her are ineffective.
I am hearing…some Hosanna Integrity praise and worship music. I went to Goodwill after church today and found 5 Hosanna Integrity praise and worship CDs for $3 each. These were popular in the late 80s/early 90s when I first became a Christian, and they’re bringing back good memories.
Around the house…I have to do some cleaning and organizing. I married earlier this year and my DSH came with a lot of his grandmother’s stuff that he inherited. My house is beyond full and we need to pare down so that when we eventually have to move we don’t have to move so much stuff.
One of my favorite things…a lazy Sunday afternoon
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I’ll be working at my current temp assignment this week. Tomorrow after work I need to get my car smog checked so I can get it registered for another year. On Tuesday DSH and I have a 7pm appointment to begin working on our schedule…what needs to be paid, any concerns either of us may have, plans, appointments, stuff like that. I think it’ll help us become more of a team instead of each of us doing our own thing and not knowing what’s important to each other. Evenings during the rest of the week are open right now, but one thing I could do is go through all my clothes and figure out what I have for autumn.
Here is picture thought I am sharing…

Squash for the Monterey Chicken Recipe
This is a photo I took of the squash I cooked for the Monterey Chicken recipe, and I loved the colors.
Happy Monday!

That squash looks great, I’ve got a Butternut Squash in the kitchen for tomorrow night’s dinner. We didn’t get any from the garden this year, too much rain and not enough sun.
Found you through the Daybook post – love browsing on a Monday
Monteray Chicken sounds yummy!
I need to turn on some praise music I think.
What does the S stnad for. DSH?
Thank you for your comments, Kimberly and Missus Wookie
